Germany P2 2026 – Crowning the Champions

Tapia and Coello reign supreme in Düsseldorf while S0rgans clinches fantasy glory with an 865-point masterclass

Düsseldorf delivered. Fifty matches, thirteen of them pushed to a third set, and by the time the dust settled at the Germany P2 2026, we had our Premier Padel champions — the irresistible Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello on the men's side, and Martina Calvo Santamaría and Claudia Fernández Sánchez completing a stunning women's comeback run. And towering above all 10,000-plus fantasy managers who entered this tournament? S0rgans, an 865-point juggernaut who played this game like they had a direct line to the draw.

🎾 The Premier Padel Final

Men's Final: Agustin Tapia / Arturo Coello def. Franco Stupaczuk / Jon Sanz 6-2 7-6(5)

Women's Final: Martina Calvo Santamaria / Claudia Fernandez Sanchez def. Andrea Ustero Prieto / Ariana Sanchez Fallada 3-6 0-6

The men's bracket was, in truth, a coronation dressed up as a competition. Tapia and Coello waltzed through the semis against Leo Augsburger and Juan Lebrón — 6-2, 6-3, clinical, almost insulting in its efficiency — before carrying that same ruthless energy into the final. Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz had earned their spot in spectacular fashion, grinding past Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto 7-6(3), 6-4 in a semi that had real edge to it. But in the final, Tapia and Coello simply refused to be tested. A 6-2 first set put Stupaczuk and Sanz on the back foot, and although the second set tightened to a tiebreak, the Tapia-Coello machine closed it out at 7-6(5). Dominant doesn't quite cover it.

The women's tournament told a messier, more compelling story. Martina Calvo Santamaría and Claudia Fernández Sánchez had to claw through a brutal semi against Paula Josemaría Martín and Beatriz González Fernández — 6-4, 5-7, 7-6(5), a match that had no business being as dramatic as it was. Meanwhile, Andrea Ustero Prieto and Ariana Sánchez Fallada were busy producing the biggest upset of the tournament, knocking out Delfina Brea Senesi and Gemma Triay Pons in a wild three-setter: 5-7, 6-3, 5-7. That win had the padel world buzzing. But the final? A plot twist nobody saw coming. Calvo Santamaría and Fernández Sánchez — the same pair who'd needed a tiebreak just to reach Sunday — came out and dismantled Ustero and Ariana 3-6, 0-6. A scoreline so one-sided it looked like a typo. Championship padel has no mercy for momentum.

📖 The Champion's Story

S0rgans built this win the way good managers always do — not with one magic round, but with a steady, suffocating accumulation of points that left everyone else chasing shadows. Their 865-point total was never seriously threatened across the entire tournament, and reading back through the round-by-round numbers tells you exactly why. The Quarterfinals were the turning point: a monster 187-point haul, anchored by women's lineup values touching 410, 441, 413 and 469, eating up every point available despite eating a 30-point penalty for the trouble. Then came the Semifinals — an even more absurd 207 points, the best single round among the top 10, powered by a men's pick that clocked in at 212 and a women's roster hitting 533 at its peak. S0rgans was not guessing at that point. That was conviction.

The Final rounded things off at 210 points — a number that tells its own story when you consider the 20-point penalty already baked in. The men's picks sat at 65, 452, 66 and 180; not every choice was flashy, but that 452 value did heavy lifting when it mattered most. S0rgans entered the Round of 32 with 111 points — modest, cautious, like a poker player not showing their hand — and left Düsseldorf as fantasy champion. 865 points. Legendary.

🥈 Padelcilu

Padelcilu ran S0rgans closer than the 14-point gap suggests, and for stretches of this tournament they looked like the more aggressive manager of the two. Their best work came early — 163 points in the Round of 32 and a strong 173-point Round of 16, backed by a women's pick hitting 469 and a men's selection reaching 452. The problem was consistency when it counted most: the Final delivered just 178 points, their second-lowest round of the week, and penalties nibbled away throughout — 36 in the Round of 16, nine in both the Semis and Final. Padelcilu clearly had the read on the talent. They just couldn't quite pull the trigger at the right moments in the back half of the draw.

🥉 GusTeam

GusTeam came out of the gates swinging — 171 points in the Round of 32, the best opening round among the top three — and peaked with an exceptional 220-point Round of 16 that included a men's pick at 252 and another at 452, the kind of haul that makes rival managers close their laptops in frustration. But the tournament's back half was unkind. The Quarterfinals dipped to 145 points, the Semifinals to 152, and the Final to just 146 — the same lineup repeated across those last two rounds, with that 452 men's value clearly overstaying its welcome. GusTeam had the instincts. They just ran out of adjustments.

💎 Fantasy Takeaways

🏆 The 207-point Semifinals round from S0rgans was the decisive blow — if you want to win a tournament, that's where you press hardest

⚠️ Penalties were the silent killer across the board: Padelcilu paid 36 points in the Round of 16 alone, a swing that, compounded over five rounds, kept them off the top step

🔁 GusTeam's decision to run back the same lineup across the Semis and Final — identical men's values of 65/452/66/117 both rounds — is a cautionary tale about adapting picks as the draw reshapes
